BungeeBones As An Alternative to Adsense & Adwords

Adsense Type Functionality

BungeeBones is a simple web directory script that is "distributable" like the Adsense code. I like to say that, while Google wants to "rent" the space alongside your webpage content, BungeeBones, instead, wants an entire page of its own and needs a link to it from other parts of your site (such as your menus). BungeeBones pays the webmaster commissions like Adsense does, but on a “per action” basis and not “per click”.

Adwords Type Functionality

Google's paid placement program (Adwords) charges "per click" while BungeeBones charges per month. Adwords sets its prices by competitive bidding from webmasters and so does BungeeBones. An advertiser will need to study the BungeeBones program before bidding just as in the Adwords program.

BungeeBones Service Levels - Clients, Customers And Users

Clients

Anyone that adds a "distributed" web directory script is considered a client by BungeeBones. We place a duty on ourselves to represent them and do the best job of marketing the web traffic they contribute to the system that we can. Our system that aggregates and bundles their web traffic is designed to improve its market value and share the proceeds with them. The more we get for the end product the more they get.

Customers

BungeeBones offers for sale "paid link positions" in its web directory. Those web sites that purchase those positions are our customers. Honest, fair dealings with them and top customer service is our goal.

Users

BungeeBones offers free advertising for multiple reasons. Those that sign up for free advertising are all potential clients and/or customers but we still refer to them as users. Those that visit the web directory looking for websites are users too.

Multi-Level Commission Opportunities

When designing our compensation system we saw that the website that is hosting the distributed directory and sending advertising customers is also sending potential distributed web directory installers. Google doesn't pay the Adsense host if someone comes and becomes an Adsense seller too as a result of seeing the Adsense ads on a website.

After acquiring an advertising customer (because of them joining at the other webmaster's sites) BungeeBones can now approach them with the idea of installing the directory themselves, receiving commissions, adding to the traffic in the system, increasing the ad revenue etc. Since this opportunity only happens because of the webmaster hosting the directory to begin with we decided, to be fair, override commissions needed to be paid for that new distributed directory's sales as well. What I have just described is the fundamentals of a multi-level network marketing system.

There is no charge for the distributed web directory. There is no fee at all to enter and receive the pseudo "network marketing" opportunity. Web Directory vs. Search Engine

Now onto a comparison of web directories to search engines. A large portion of total Pay Per Click revenue is a direct result of presenting paid ads next to their own search results but an almost equal portion is attributed to the ads placed on other webmasters websites and has nothing directly to do with the search engine itself. So when we compare the Pay Per Click And the BungeeBones methods it is not really a comparison between the advantages and disadvantages of search engines and web directories. As stated, Adsense places the ads alongside your content while BungeeBones puts them on a separate page. If all other things were equal, which would be the better deal for the webmaster? We believe BungeeBones is the better alternative as it allows your site visitor to finish enjoying your site before presenting the options for where to go next. Pay Per Click, on the other hand, is enticing them to leave for something better, cheaper etc. the whole time they are looking at your material. Why would a webmaster want to do that? .

BungeeBones sees it as there are only two types of visitors that go to your site: 1) those with their own websites and 2) those without. Our "distributed" web directory script enables installation of a web directory that can offer other webmasters the possibility to purchase advertising. That is the same thing that adding Adsense code to your site would enable you to do.

Since there is a direct correlation between the number of installed web directories and the amount of traffic BungeeBones can offer an advertiser (and thus the amount of the fee it can receive and the commissions it pays) BungeeBones provides as many financial incentives as possible for getting directories installed for selling advertising and increasing the traffic in the network. So a major difference between the Google and the BungeeBones paradigm is that in the BungeeBones system a webmaster is encouraged to be both a seller and a buyer at the same time. BungeeBones provides a mechanism for fair compensation between the webmasters that actually bring the traffic in and the webmasters that "consume" the traffic and don't bring it in.
