Instructions And Form To Create Code For Inserting A Web Directory Widget On Your Website

This process will create all the code necessary to install a complete webdirectory widget on your website that will have all the links and categories in it that our own directory has. It will be updated and managed for you FOR FREE by BungeeBones automatically. Visitors to your site that want to add their site will be able to add free or paid link listings automatically. BungeeBones will review all links submitted before they are allowed to go live. If they at any time become a paid link you will receive a 50% commission for as long as they are a paid link.

Installation of a widget directory does not affect your status as a free or paid link. You still have the same options to locate/relocate your listing in any category you wish (paid or free).

The form will create code unique to your account and website. It is designed to be inserted into a standard webpage template. It will appear as any of your other web pages on your site with your own menus, pictures etc. Each webpage, for each category, will have unique title and descriptions specific to your website and the category.
 

Things you will need to do:

1) Create a folder or directory on your website
2) Create or copy a webpage into that folder.
3) Copy and paste two blocks of code from this form into that page
4) Create a link from your website's homepage to that page
 

There are some default values entered for examples in the input boxes below but it is strongly advised that you replace those with your own.

  • You need to place the widget into a folder or directory in your website and it must remain there for the widget to operate. If you need to move it contact BungeeBones tech support. Relevant folder names can boost search engine rankings.
    Unique folder names are better.

  • Name the file.Something basic like index is fine but you can name it anything. If you name it something other than "index" be sure to place an empty "index.html" page in the directory for security. Note the php file extension. PHP is the only code used right now.

Your Custom Title And Description Preferences

  • TITLE What we ask you to do is to enter custom (to your site) two sections (see below) of the title. Usually something like your site's domain name (if descriptive) or main topic or keyword is best as search engines place a lot of weight on titles for their results placement. Our script will add the category name either before or after your custom section so that each category display is unique to your site and unique (within your site) for that particular category
    YOUR CUSTOM TITLE part 1
    This will display as the opening portion of all your directory pages. The title is often displayed in search engine results so it is suggested to place your most important keyword about your site here in the title. The script will then produce UNIQUE pages, each of which include your keyword in the title.

    IN BETWEEN CUSTOM TITLE 1 AND CUSTOM TITLE 2 THE CATEGORY NAME OF THE DISPLAYED CATEGORY RESULTS WILL BE INSERTED. Examples - If cat 1 name of "My" is entered and cat 2 name of "links" is entered it will result in the title of each of your display pages having such titles as "My Realestate links" or "My Computer Links" etc for each category.

  • DESCRIPTION - Some search engines use your description in their search results while others will pull it from the content of the page itself. It should not be over 200 characters and we will add the category name to the end on every description to make it unique on every page.
