A key and fundamental component of what makes BungeeBones different from most any other web directory software or script is that it is built on remotely hosted software. What that means (from your perspective) is that you simply provide the users on your site with a Graphical User Interface (an easy to install web page in plain English) which lets them retrieve information from a remote location (our servers). Other web services that work in a similar fashion are RSS and news feeds, and Pay Per Click or affiliate program ads.

While there is a slight technical downside to the process of sending and receiving from our servers to display on your site they are miniscule when compared to the benefits of collecting and sharing the data from a central point as I will show. Please at least review the ideas in the "Key Concepts" block to the left.

But keep in mind as you go through the various concepts that it is the remote hosting of BungeeBones that allows it to go beyond all the systems mentioned.
